Center for Intellectual Property, School of Law, Tsinghua University (hereinafter “Research Center”), established on 2001. The Research Center is dedicated to policy innovation of intellectual property protection, and set our goal of providing the impetus in the promotion of IP system.
Have its base in Tsinghua Law School, the Research Center assembled a most competent research team, with high-level theoretical and practical ability. The members are from prestigious universities, research institutes and companies.
The Research Center is focus in research, teaching, academic exchange and social participation, with the expectation to have influence in promoting China’s intellectual property protection. The research program will be determined in considering the industry concerns and the international developing trend of IPR. By the meantime, the Research Center will carry out extensive academic exchange and international conference.
Activities
Research
Research Projects will concern the pressing issues of IP Law, and determined by means of internal recommendations and public solicitation. Comprehensive researches will be conducted by our professional team and formed into high-quality reports. The research results will be published and submitted to the decision-makers for consultation.
Visiting & Post-doctoral Scholars
The Research Center will recruit a certain number of visiting and post-doctoral scholar every year. Their task is in engaging the full-time research focus on the undertaking research projects. Besides, they will be given sufficient opportunity to teach, give lectures and academic exchange. Friendly environment and sufficient facility will be provided for young scholars.
Publications
Tsinghua Intellectual Property Law Review will be a continuously published academic journal of the Research Center. It aims to attract outstanding academic perspective and to explore the issues in the sphere of theory and practice. TIPLR is expected to play an active role in promoting IP research and policy.

• International Conferences on Intellectual Property
International IP conferences will be held biennially, focus on the forefront of issues in IPR, creating a platform for the communication between theorists and practitioners.
• Annual Forum of Typical Cases in Intellectual Property Law
The forum will invite the judges, scholars and lawyers to discuss the elected typical cases and problems.
• Lectures
The Research Center will invited prestigious scholars, judges and lawyers around the world, to organize series of academic lectures every year.
